Welcome to the Great Plains Rural Policy Network's (GPRPN) web page! The GPRPN is comprised of organizations representing Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Montana, and Idaho who work collectively on policy change in support of rural families and communities in the Great Plains area. For the past four years, the GPRPN has been invested in building organizational capacity, expertise, skills, and alliances to prepare for regional and national policy action efforts together. The network was brought together as part of the Rural People Policy Initiative established by the W.K. Kellogg Foundation in 2006. The goal of the initiative was to build and strengthen skilled networks and advocates to articulate and act in the policy arena.
